Joyce - Gestalt Psychotherapy

Gestalt therapist, UKCP trainee Psychotherapist at Metanoia Institute, and a member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy and BAATN.

She offers a dynamic and intuitive approach to therapeutic healing.  She offers a holistic approach to psychotherapy based on evidence-based treatments (ACT-CBT) and Gestalt Psychotherapy. Her work is informed by her passion for symbolism and Jungian analysis. Joyce offers a safe, empathic and insightful space as she supports you to voice your inner struggles and to work through them with effect.

Joyce brings an intuitive, experiential and deeply empathic approach to healing that speaks to the unique potential of each of her clients. She fosters her clients’ innate ability for self-healing through newfound awareness, psychological flexibility, and emotional rest in a kind-hearted space. Supporting her clients to process and make sense of their thoughts, feelings, behaviour, memories, and imagination, and how past experiences might influence one’s present experience now.

She works with a wide range of issues including relationships, self-esteem, childhood trauma, existential dread and anxiety. Previously, she has accrued extensive experience working with eating disorders, addiction and dual diagnostic treatments. Prior to psychotherapy, she worked as a corporate lawyer enabling her to effectively support her clients to manage burn-outs, stress and performance anxiety.

Joyce’s mixed ancestry (with maternal Dutch-Scottish lines and paternal South American-Indian lines), gifted her with a keen interest to work with identity, selfhood, ancestral healing and family systems. She, thus, draws from a rich foundation for future work together. Joyce typically offers mid- to long-term therapy to assist deeper healing.
